With 500 athletes, 60 VIPs/coaches/staff, and 500 out of town spectators, this event is expected to generate 750 hotel room night stays and more than $1.5 million in economic impact in our region each year.

Evergreen Regional Volleyball Championships

April 20-21, 2024

The Evergreen Regional Championship event is the culminating event of the indoor junior girls club season for the clubs within the Evergreen Region of USA Volleyball. Over 150 teams from Montana, Northern Idaho & Eastern Washington compete to be named the Evergreen Regional Champion for the season in each age division, U12, U14, U16 & U18. 

Single day and two-day passes will be available at TicketsWest.com. Tickets are required for all spectators 9 years of age and older.

Pacific Northwest Qualifier

March 23-25, 2024 (18's, 11’s-13’s)
March 29-31, 2024 (15’s-17’s)
April 5-7, 2024 (14’s)

This tournament is one of USA Volleyball's national qualifying tournaments and is governed by the rules set forth by them. In the USA & American divisions, the first two days are pool play, with the third being single-elimination bracket play. In the Open divisions, challenge matches may follow pool play on the first two days, and some brackets may participate in pool play on the final day.

2023 Badminton World Federation (BWF) Junior Championships

We’re thrilled to host Spokane’s FIRST World Championship with the 2023 Badminton World Federation (BWF) Junior Championships! 

Four hundred athletes from over 50 countries will travel to Spokane including top contenders from France, Germany, India, Belgium, Malaysia, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy, Estonia, Guatemala, Indonesia, and Canada. "This event will provide a fantastic opportunity for young badminton players from around the world to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level," said Fred Tang, Chairman of USA Badminton. "With the support of BWF, Spokane Sports and our dedicated badminton community, we look forward to welcoming the world to the United States for this exciting competition." 

Championship Facts:

  • Two weeks of incredible competition, September 25 - October 8, 2023

  • Mixed team championship and individual championship

  • 400 athletes, age 19 and under will be competing

  • Nine championship courts 

  • International travelers from 50 countries 

  • 1,000 visiting spectators, coaches, and event administrators 

  • 5,000 hotel room nights will be utilized in Spokane

  • Generating $5 million in tourism spending

2023 USA Badminton Junior National Championships

The Podium Powered by STCU will transform into a world class badminton facility when Spokane hosts the 2023 USA Badminton Junior National Championships. Eighteen badminton courts will be assembled inside the venue to accommodate 600 athletes. More than 900 total spectators, coaches, officials, and VIP’s will also be staying in Spokane for the week-long championship.
